Available this fall, HSCI 3833 will explore the Scientific Revolution through an in-depth examination of the contributions of Galileo Galilei, Johannes Kepler, William Harvey and Francisco Hernandez. A diverse panel of expert speakers will contribute to this course and will provide public lectures to expand on the themes highlighted in the exhibition. Public lecture times will be listed on the calendar section of the website. Similarly, HSCI 3453 offered in spring 2016 will explore "Science and Civilization in Islam." Guest speakers for this course will explore the connections between early Islamic scientists and the development of art, astronomy and the sciences during the Scientific Revolution. Additionally, the OU Observatory, through the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy will host monthly sky watches on the Sam Noble Museum lawn following each of the lectures in the monthly series.
