Summary
Some of Galileo’s most avid opponents were Aristotelian physicists who, lacking training in mathematics, were unable to refute Galileo’s arguments. This book, which Galileo published under the name of his student Castelli, refuted the Aristotelian physics of Colombe and Pannochieschi and defended Galileo's treatise on floating bodies.
